Our Philosophy

At Omniloquent, we believe language learning is fundamentally about human connection. We facilitate targeted practice and champion authentic conversation, the heart of understanding and cultural exchange. In our safe, supportive environment, mistakes are welcomed as learning opportunities and vocabulary is practiced in a real world context, paving the path to fluency.

Omniloquent offers a unique space where curiosity triumphs over self-consciousness. Our AI Tutor, a friendly and patient companion, listens without criticism, engages without impatience, and gently guides you towards fluency. This non-judgmental interaction, simulating conversations with a native speaker, builds confidence and prepares learners for real-world human interactions.

We understand language learning is a deeply human endeavour, and with that comes vulnerability and self-doubt. By removing the fear of embarrassment, we unlock the potential for true connection, empowering you to engage with the world with newfound confidence and joy. This benefits both independent learners of all ages and those in educational settings

For teachers, it provides personalised support, allowing them to focus on individual needs while reinforcing key concepts. For students, it offers targeted practice for success, whether in the classroom, for exams like GCSE and A-Level, or for personal enrichment.

By simulating authentic conversations, it bridges the gap between learning and real-world application, boosting confidence. The ability to practise anytime, anywhere, is invaluable for revision and independent learning.

This vision is the shared passion of Professor Elizabeth Wonnacott, a leading language science professor from the University of Oxford, and her husband, Edward Longhurst, a computer scientist and former Chief Technology Officer. Inspired by their own daughter’s language journey, Liz and Edward brought their deep understanding of language acquisition and AI, to build Omniloquent.

Together, they envisioned a more effective and engaging way to learn languages.

“We’re confident Omniloquent is the future of language learning. We’re not just teaching words; we’re helping you find your voice. Through regular interactions with our supportive AI, you will become confident in expressing yourself in a new language, and ready to engage with the world. We truly believe everyone can learn a new language, and we’re here to help you unlock that potential. Join us, and let’s start the conversation.”
